Cops release more details on suspect wanted in Chelsea bias assault

Police released new information and a photo Thursday of the suspect wanted in the vicious beating of a gay couple inside a Chelsea Dallas BBQ.

The fugitive is described as a man wearing a black blazer and a white shirt and is one of two men caught on video of the May 5th attack.

Jonathan Snipes, 32, and his boyfriend Ethan York-Adams, 25, were getting drinks at the Eighth Avenue location when they allegedly spilled a drink on one of the suspects, police said. An argument ensued and got aggressive when the suspects knocked the couple to the ground and beat them with a chair while shouting homophobic slurs, according to the NYPD.

The entire incident was caught on camera.

Although Snipes and York-Adams refused medical attention, they suffered significant injuries, including cuts and bruises to their faces, according to reports.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident as a possible bias crime.
