Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly robbed a Manhattan business at gunpoint on Sunday.
According to law enforcement sources, the suspect entered a deli located at 705 Second Ave. in Murray Hill on May 19 at approximately 10:15 a.m. before threatening a 22-year-old male employee with a gun to open the register.
While brandishing the weapon, the suspect told the cashier, “I want to rob you. Give me money,” official sources said.
The brazen perp then grabbed $200 in cash from the register before fleeing the scene on a Citi bike, going northbound on Second Avenue before cops from the 17th Precinct arrived.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crime. No arrests have been made yet, but police released an image of the suspect, who remains at large.
The investigation remains ongoing.
