The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine celebrates Halloween each year with a silent film screening.
This year’s cinematic thriller is Robert Wiene’s 1920 “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari,” the story of an insane hypnotist who uses a somnambulist to commit murders, which will be screened with live accompaniment by renowned organist Timothy Brumfield.

The Mettawee River Theater Company presents a “scary” performance after the 7 p.m. screening.
