open call, Applications are being accepted for the Lower East Side Rotating and Long-term Studio Programs which are funded through generous grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and the Greenwall Foundation. Free Union Square Neighborhood Tour, The Union Square Partnership sponsors a two-hour tour exploring Union Square’s entertainment history, first as the birthplace of Vaudeville, and now as the “heart of Off-Broadway.” Stories of social movements and events, such as the first Labor Day Parade, explain how Union Square became a National Landmark.
