Female photogs dream-team show


Legendary lens woman Rebecca Lepkoff, above, is among the photographers in the new “Street. Life. Live. Women Photographers of the Lower Side, 1968 to the Present” show at the Tompkins Square Library gallery, at 331 E. 10th St. The other photographers are Silvianna Goldsmith, Marlis Momber, Anna Sawayrn and Shell Sheddy. The exhibit runs through Oct. 31, when there will be a closing event from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Goldsmith will show her rarely seen film “Orpheus Underground” about the Vietnam War and its era on Wed., Oct. 22, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Momber will show her film “Viva Losaida” on Wed., Oct. 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sheddy will be at the gallery Wednesdays from 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sawaryn will be at the gallery Saturdays from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and will have a special viewing with the artist on Oct. 25 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., followed by a concert from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
