Tunnel closures abound this week! In the Lincoln Tunnel, the New York-bound tube will close 11 p.m.Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, as will one New York-bound lane in the Holland Tunnel. The Lincoln Tunnel closure will send drivers down to the Holland, which will be slow because of its own closure.
In the Holland Tunnel, one New York-bound and one New Jersey-bound tube will close 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday and Fright nights. Expect delays at the neighboring bridges – the Brooklyn and Manhattan namely.
One tube at the Hugh L. Carey (Brooklyn-Battery) Tunnel will close 9:30 p.m. Friday through 5:30 a.m. Monday. Additionally, one tube will close 9:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.
With summer fast approaching, Lower Manhattan is a hotbed for outdoor activities, which means lots of street closures ahead.
The Flag Day Parade Friday will close Pearl St. between Broad St. and Coenties Sl., and cause rolling closures on Broadway between Chambers and Stone Sts., Whitehall St. between Stone and Water Sts., Water St. between Whitehall and Broad Sts., Broad St. between Water and Bridge Sts., noon to 2 p.m.
A Walkathon Saturday will close Baxter St. from Columbus Park to Worth St., Worth St. from Baxter to Centre Sts., and Centre St. from Worth St. to Brooklyn Bridge Pedestrian Walkway 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Old Timer’s Stick Ball Game will close Rutgers St. between Cherry and Madison Sts. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
Also on Saturday, The Annual Children’s Day Block Party will close Henry St. between Pike and Rutgers Sts. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The CEMC Community Outreach will close Monroe St. between Catherine and Market Sts. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
On Monday, The Heart Across America Finish Line will close Fulton St. between Broadway and Church St. 5 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Actavis Allergen NYSE Event will impact Broad St. between Wall St. and Exchange Pl. 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday.
The Stone St. Pedestrian Mall will close Stone St. between Hanover Sq. and Broad St., and Mill Ln. between Stone and South William Sts. 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day.
