Stuyvesant High School’s football players running to practice on Pier 40 Friday had no time to notice chickens strutting their sea legs aboard the historic Yankee Ferry on Pier 25. The feathered residents rocked and rolled with the summer tide on the boat’s aft deck while players passed them along the river.
