The Jewish Museum is presenting the first exhibition in its new “Television Project” with “Picturing a People,” which considers how Jews have been portrayed and have portrayed themselves on American television from the 1950s to the present. The exhibition features clips from programs including “The Ed Sullivan Show,” “Northern Exposure,” “The Twilight Zone,” “The Goldbergs,” “The Simpsons,” “My Name is Barbra,” ABC News’ coverage of the 1961 trial of Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem, and related works of art, artifacts, and ephemera. 1109 Fifth Ave. at 92nd St. Through Feb. 14, 2016: Sat.-Tue., 11 a.m.-5:45 p.m.; Thu., 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; Fri, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Information at thejewishmuseum.org.
