Detectives led Monard Jenkins of 290 E. Fourth St. out of the Ninth Precinct police station Thursday afternoon April 6 after he was charged with robbery in connection with the March 30 gunpoint holdup of a 61-year-old grandmother in an elevator of the Jacob Riis Houses as she was bringing an 11-month old girl she was baby-sitting back to the girl’s mother. Jenkins, 30, was arrested on April 5 after two other robberies, one on E. Fifth St. and the other on E. Third St. He was arraigned April 8 and is being held without bail pending an April 12 Criminal Court appearance.
