Police in Lower Manhattan on the hunt for a subway pervert who groped a woman while riding a subway train on Sunday, police said.
According to police sources, a 28-year-old woman was riding a southbound D train at around 9:40 a.m. on June 2 when she was approached from behind by the perpetrator.
Law enforcement sources said the suspect then grabbed the female straphanger’s right buttocks as the train rattled into the Grand Street station.
Seconds after the groping, the perpetrator fled the subway car at the station. The victim, meanwhile, refused medical attention, and was otherwise unharmed.
Police describe the perpetrator as having a medium build, black hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue and white t-shirt, and gray pants. Police have released an image of the individual in hopes he will be recognized.
