A man was found in Harlem shot to death inside a vehicle on Sunday night, police reported.
Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the deadly shooting, which occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 7 near an apartment building at 619 West 135th St.
Officers from the 30th Precinct, in responding to 911 calls about an unconscious man, found the victim slumped over inside a a parked, dark gray Honda Civic.
Police said the 39-year-old man was located in the driver’s seat with a gunshot wound to his chest.
EMS rushed him to Mount Sinai Morningside Heights Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Police have withheld his identity, pending family notification.
So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police sources said.
