A 50-year-old man was rescued from the Hudson River by cops and firefighters yesterday afternoon.
According to officials the man was tossed a “water ring” from the back of a police car and the FDNY’s rescue team brought him back to shore near West 29th Street.
“He made a statement about wanting to cool off,” said a police source, who noted that the man “appeared to be homeless.” The man was awake and conscious at the scene and transported to Bellevue Hosptial Center for treatment, the FDNY said. (amNY)
