There will be a “warming trend” the first weekend in May here in NYC, according to the National Weather Service.
There are possible showers on Saturday and temperatures in the high 60s. On Sunday, it will be sunny with temperatures in the mid-70s. And you might want to reconsider work on Monday, since it will be sunny with temperatures in the high 70s.
After the brutal winter (February was the third-coldest February on record), April was 1.2 degrees above average, said National Weather Service meteorologist Faye Bathold.
There’s a cold front moving in on Tuesday, but temperatures are expected to stay in the 60s.
