Renovation of Brookfield Properties’ Liberty Park Plaza is ahead of schedule thanks to the unusually warm November weather. Excavation of the 33,000 sq. ft. public space catty-corner to the World Trade Center site has been completed and the first pieces of stone are being installed this week. The 54 honey locust trees are scheduled for planting next week and by Dec. 1, most if not all the concrete will be poured. “If the weather continues to cooperate the plaza could open as early as late spring,” said Melissa Coley, a spokesperson for the company.
