Credit Card spree

Police arrested Alisha Rankin, 37, of Brooklyn on Mon., Dec. 15 outside of Marciano, a Soho boutique at 514 Broadway, and charged her with using a stolen credit card at Bloomingdale’s Soho on Broadway. Police said Rankin stole the card from a woman at Party City, 3 W. 14th St., less than an hour before she was arrested.

The owner of the credit card told police that her wallet with several credit cards had been lifted from her open handbag while she was in the Village party supply store. The suspect was charged with using the victim’s Bloomingdale’s card at the Soho store to buy two coats and using another stolen card at Marciano to try to buy a dress, a pair of jeans and a necklace, but she was arrested on leaving the store.

Rankin was being held pending a Jan. 22 court appearance on charges of identity theft, forgery and grand larceny.
