Hudson grocery trio One of three suspects who walked into the Hudson Gourmet grocery, 514 Hudson St. near W. 10th St., around 11:53 p.m. Mon., Aug.16, grabbed a bottle of beer and tried to walk out without paying for it, police said. After a store employee, 22, confronted the shoplifter and took back the bottle, the three suspects punched him in the face, cutting him above the eye, and fled west on 10th St. on foot. The victim said two of the three were transvestites. One of the transvestites was described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
Bag was gone A Brooklyn man, 25, told police he was walking through Chelsea Market at Ninth Ave. and W. 15th St. around 10:15 a.m. Thurs., Aug. 5, when he discovered that the Nike gym bag that he had been carrying that morning was gone. He lost his laptop computer, iPod, iTouch, Sony digital camera and $299 cash.
Club larcenies A visitor from Sweden told police she was about to leave 1 Oak, 453 W. 17th St., around 1 a.m. Fri., Aug. 13, when she discovered that her wallet was gone from her bag. The victim, 21, said she had not put the bag down while she was at the club and did not remember being jostled. She lost her Swedish credit card and ID and $90 cash.
A Connecticut woman, 24, told police that as she was leaving Suzie Wong Saki Lounge, 547 W. 27th St., on Sun., Aug. 8, at 4 a.m., she discovered that her bag, which she had placed under her table, had been stolen. She lost her cell phone, camera, ID and $250 cash. She discovered later that the thief had taken photos of her and downloaded them to the victim’s Facebook page.
Lost at peep show A visitor from Trinidad was looking at a video in a viewing booth in Rainbow Station, the adult merchandise store at 207 Eighth Ave., near W. 20th St., around 4 a.m. Thurs., Aug. 12, when someone made off with his BlackBerry cell phone and his iPod, police said.
Hold mugging suspect Tyrone Davis, 26, arrested on Aug. 9 for robbing a victim on Seventh Ave. at W. 12th St. and threatening to shoot him, was arraigned on a third-degree robbery charge last week and was in jail in lieu of $25,000 bail pending a Sept. 14 court appearance. The victim, 24, identified Davis, who was arrested on Greenwich Ave. two blocks from the scene. Davis, a Linden, N.J., resident, was carrying the $94 that he took from the victim, according to the complaint filed by Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr.
Assault arrest Police arrested Dennis McCarvill, 25, on Fri., Aug. 6, and charged him with first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the May 31 beating of a victim in front of the Two Rivers bar, 10 Murray St., in the City Hall area. McCarvill grabbed a stick during an argument at 12:30 a.m., beat the victim about the face and seriously injured him, according to the complaint filed by D.A. Vance. McCarvill pleaded not guilty and was freed on $10,000 bail pending a Nov. 4 court appearance. A New York Post item said the victim underwent two surgeries and received 14 stitches as a result of the injuries.
