Bronze plaque
The management of the office tower at 65 Liberty St. between Broadway and Nassau St. told police that the bronze plaque, valued at $2,000, bolted to an exterior wall, had been stolen sometime before 7 a.m. Thurs. Feb. 24.
Deli break-in
Thieves broke into the Grand St. Deli and Mini Market at 42 Grand St. near Thompson St. during the early hours of Mon. March 7, opened an A.T.M. and made off with $15,000, police said.
The robbers forced open the locked metal gate, broke the glass front door and pried open the automated teller machine, police said.
Desk lift
An employee in the office building at 451 Greenwich St., near Desbrosses St., told police that her wallet, which contained personal documents but no cash, was taken from her work station where she left it at noon, Thurs. Feb 24. She recalled that a stranger had come to the office earlier for a pick-up.
Lost at A.T.M.
A man who had placed his wallet on the counter while using an A.T.M. in a lobby at Liberty and William Sts. at 11 a.m. Thurs. Feb. 24 found it missing when he reached for it after completing his transaction, police said.
Soho auto break-in
A woman who parked her 2004 Dodge Intrepid on the northwest corner of Thompson and Watts Sts. on Sun. Feb. 27 found the lock of the door on the driver’s side damaged and unspecified property missing when she returned at 2:45 p.m., police said.
Naked theft
A woman who was in Naked Lunch, a bar at 17 Thompson St. near Grand St. at 3 a.m. Sat. Feb. 26, left her handbag on the bar before she went to put her drink down on a nearby table. The bag, with $180 in cash and personal papers, was gone by the time she turned back to it, police said.
Lost at Lenny’s
A customer at Lenny’s, a bar at 108 John St., told police her wallet with $550 in cash, a $500 blank money order, her passport and other personal documents, was taken from her bag at about 4:30 p.m. Thurs. Feb. 24.
Laptop stolen
An unknown suspect entered an office at 64 Fulton St., sometime before 7 p.m. on Tues. Feb. 22 and made off with a Sony laptop computer, police said.
Subway pickpocket
A passenger who boarded a southbound No. 6 train at Bleecker St. on Thursday morning Feb. 24 discovered that his wallet was missing from his rear pants pocket when he changed trains at Brooklyn Bridge, police said. The wallet had credit cards and other personal papers.
