Halloween at the Tompkins Square dog run saw a lot of talent on display that was nothing to sniff at. Inventive costumes included, on this page, clockwise from above, a bling bling bulldog; the iPod pup, winner for best costume in show; Luna with Shaundra Queen of the Night; and a doggie as Asian bird flu. Best trick was won by a fancy-walking dog who slalomed through its master’s legs to the delight of the crowd; Eli as a bat; a centi-dachshund, the latest hip hybrid; a geisha-garbed entrant, playing dead in the trick contest; and Reverend Jen Jr. and Leggo Las (Reverend Jen).
