On Mon., Dec. 1, World AIDS Day, Housing Works, the AIDS services and advocacy group, led a 24-hour vigil in City Hall Park, at which various volunteers throughout the day read aloud the names of tens of thousands of New Yorkers lost to AIDS. Among the readers were City Comptroller William Thompson, Miss New York Leigh Taylor-Smith and the band Hanson.
