During Saturday’s “River to River” antiwar demonstration across 14th St., Michelle Barish, at Union Square, held a sign calling for the safe return from Iraq of her 21-year-old brother Jonathan. An Army specialist, he was part of the troop surge a year ago and is now in Bakuba in the “War Horse” regimaent. He’s expected to return in July when Barish prays he’ll be able to see her baby, also due this July. The demonstration was part of events marking the fifth anniversary of the start of the Iraq War, which recently saw the number of American troops killed surpass 4,000.
