Nowadays, a coal delivery, down the chute, is a rare sight in New York City. But a Bushwick, Brooklyn, company that gets its coal from Pennsylvania still delivers to 26 restaurants, all pizza places, 16 of which are in Manhattan. The pizzerias — like John’s Pizza on Bleecker St., getting supplied, above — use it for their coal-burning ovens.
