Students at St. Joseph’s School in Greenwich Village are raising money to help hurricane victims on the Gulf Coast. Through bake sales and selling rubber Katrina Relief Effort bracelets, the students have raised $1,500. The school is also sponsoring Project Backpack, in which people are asked to fill a new or used backpack with useful items for the relief effort. All monies will go to Catholic Charities.
