A man stabbed on Saturday night outside a Midtown hotel was hospitalized with a collapsed lung, authorities said.

According to police sources, the violent attack occurred at about 6:06 p.m. on April 6 outside of the Watson Hotel, located at 440 West 57th St.

Police said the incident stemmed from two men getting into an argument at the location. Things swiftly turned violent, police said, ending with a 35-year-old man being stabbed in the chest and left forearm.

Following the attack, authorities said, the wounded man walked into Mount Sinai Hospital seeking treatment; doctors determined he had suffered a collapsed lung. He was listed in stable condition.

Sources familiar with the investigation report that the individual who stabbed the wounded man may have tried to act in self-defense; another individual going to the police to complain about the victim’s part in the dispute.

No arrests have been made in the stabbing incident and the investigation remains ongoing.

The Watson Hotel is currently housing migrants and became infamous last year when new arrivals decided to camp outside of the hotel in what became a sit-in protest. The demonstration lasted several days before ultimately being broken up by police.
