Staten Island woman dies after her throat is cut in her apartment: cops

The NYPD is investigating the death of a woman who was found with her throat cut in her Staten Island home.

According to police, at 8:44 p.m. on Dec. 15 officers responded to a 911 call regarding an unconscious woman inside an apartment at 47 Montgomery Avenue. Upon their arrival, the officers were told that 38-year-old Natasha Colon had been taken to Richmond University Medical Center with a laceration to her throat.

Colon was subsequently pronounced dead at the hospital.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
