Thief snatches package from lobby of Manhattan building: NYPD

Cops are looking for a thief who swiped packages from a Manhattan apartment building last week.

According to police, at 2:50 p.m. on Dec. 10 a 49-year-old man found that his package had not arrived at the building, located in the vicinity of West 21 Street and 7th Avenue, and contacted the police. A subsequent investigation found that earlier that day an unknown man had entered the building and taken the package, which contained clothing, from the lobby.

The suspect then fled the scene with the package, which is valued at $400, to parts unknown.

The NYPD released photos and video of the suspect taken from the crime scene during the incident. The suspect is described as a man between the ages of 25 and 35 years old.
