ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES ARE IN EFFECT ALL WEEK

The Dept. of Transportation’s Summer Streets means more stretches of car-free Manhattan continue this weekend! The program will close Centre St. between the Brooklyn Bridge and Foley Square, and Lafayette St. between Foley Square and Astor Pl. (and Park Ave. all the way up to E 72nd St.) 6 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Manhattan-bound traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge will take the F.D.R. Drive or the Park Row South exit. The following crosstown streets will remain open to cars: Chambers, Reade, Worth, Canal, Broome, and Houston Sts. This event will repeat next Saturday, August 15.

Slowdowns for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers alike on the Brooklyn Bridge this weekend. Manhattan-bound traffic will be detoured at the Centre St./North Chambers St. exit midnight Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday and use the F.D.R. Drive or the Park Row South exit instead. Pedestrians and cyclists will have a slower crossing too when one half of the promenade closes 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights.

In the Lincoln Tunnel, one tube will close 11 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday. In the open tube, traffic will be maintained in both directions. This will send Manhattan-bound traffic down to the Holland Tunnel.

In the Holland Tunnel, one New York-bound lane and one New Jersey-bound lane will close 11 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, slowing inbound traffic. Expect delays going into Canal St.

The Old Timer’s Stick Ball Game will close Rutgers St. between Cherry and Madison Sts. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.

The First Police Precinct Explorers Block Party will close Liberty St. between Broadway and Trinity Pl. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

The Downtown Alliance Summer 2015 Program will close Gouverneur Ln. between Water and South Sts. and make for slowdowns on Wall St. between Water and South Sts., Front St. between Wall St. and Old Slip, and Old Slip between Water and Front Sts. 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday.

The PEOPLE Style Watch Re-launch will close Staple St. between Duane and Jay Sts. 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday.

On West St./Route 9A, one southbound lane will close between West Thames and Vesey Sts. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.

The Stone Street Pedestrian Mall will close Stone St. between Hanover Sq. and Broad St., and Mill Ln. between Stone and South William Sts. 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.each day this week.
