ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES ARE IN EFFECT ALL WEEK
Races and walks galore this week in Lower Manhattan!
The Avon 39 Walk will close the Brooklyn Bridge Pedestrian Walkway, as well as Lafayette St. between Howard and Duane Sts., and Centre St. between Lafayette St. and Brooklyn Bridge 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The A21 Walk for Freedom will close the Brooklyn Bridge Pedestrian Walkway, Chambers St. between Centre St. and Broadway, and Broadway between Chambers and E. 14th Sts. 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The RBC Race for the Kids will close Battery Pl. between Little West St. and Third Pl. 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Jets play Washington 1 p.m. Sunday at the Meadowlands. Fan traffic to and from the game will clog up the Lincoln Tunnel, sending drivers down to the Holland. Expect slowdowns before and after the game.
Slow going on the Hudson River crossings Thursday night. One tube of the Lincoln Tunnel will close 11 p.m.Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, sending inbound traffic south to the Holland Tunnel. Meanwhile, one New York-bound and one New Jersey-bound lane of the Holland Tunnel will close during the same time.
The Taste of the Seaport will close Front St. between Beekman St. and Peck Sl. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
The Stone Street Pedestrian Mall will close Stone St. between Hanover Sq. and Broad St., and Mill Ln. between Stone and South William Sts., 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day this week.
On West St./Route 9A, one southbound lane will close between West Thames and Vesey Sts. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
The following Lower Manhattan streets will be closed all week: Thames St. between Greenwich St. and Trinity Pl., Fletcher St. between Front and South Sts., and Dutch St. between Fulton and John Sts.
On the F.D.R. Drive, one lane will close in both directions from State St. to the Brooklyn Bridge 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.Thursday and Friday.
