Trees for pier’s reopening

Workers were sprucing up the area around Tribeca’s Pier 26 April 29, planting trees and attracting onlookers. The long-awaited reopening of the pier and Downtown Boathouse is supposed to be some time in May, although Hudson River Park Trust officials did not respond to inquiries about the opening date.
