Last Thursday at Pier 25 at N. Moore St., ground was broken on the Tribeca segment of the Hudson River Park. From left, at the ground breaking, Deputy Mayor Dan Doctoroff; Bill Rudin, president of Rudin Management and a board member of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation; Governor Pataki; Stefan Pryor, L.M.D.C. president; and Charles Maikish, executive director of the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center. The $70 million project, funded by the L.M.D.C., will include the rebuilding of Piers 25 and 26, with a new boathouse and creation of an upland park area. The project is estimated to be completed in 2009.
