Weapons, drugs found in search at Brooklyn home, police say

Drugs and several weapons were discovered inside a home in Brooklyn on Saturday while the NYPD executed a search warrant for a suspected drug dealer, police said.

According to police, officers with the anti-crime unit were looking for Joseph Candelaria, 43, who is suspected of dealing narcotics.

Officers conducting the search at the home on Pacific Street near Rochester Avenue around 6:10 a.m. found five weapons — a Mossberg rifle, a Winchester rifle, a Stevens rifle, an imitation rifle and a Cobra .380 firearm, police said.

Ten grams of MDMA and a small amount of marijuana were also found in the home, police said.

Police said Candelaria, who lives at the address where the search warrant was issued, was arrested without incident. He is charged with five counts of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
