Wild Manhattan brawl ends with stabbing that leaves man critically wounded

A man clings to life after being stabbed during a knife fight with a foe in a wild Manhattan brawl on Sunday night.

According to police sources, the stabbing unfolded at approximately 11:41 p.m. on May 11 outside of storefronts at 144 Nagle Ave., at Thayer Street, in Inwood.

Officers from the 34th Precinct, in responding to a report of a disturbance, arrived on the scene to discover two men who had suffered serious injuries.

Cops found a 60-year-old man with a stab wound to the neck and a 40-year-old with stab wounds to the arm and abdomen. Police sources say that they believe both men had become engaged in a verbal dispute that quickly led to an all-out knife fight.

EMS rushed both men to Harlem Hospital, where the 60-year-old man was listed in critical condition. The 40-year-old man, meanwhile, is in stable condition.

Criminal charges are pending the results of the ongoing investigation. Police sources said no other suspects are wanted in connection with the stabbing at this time.
