Manhattan detectives need the public’s help in identifying the woman who was brutally beaten on Randall’s Island last week.
Police sources said the 44-year-old woman is still fighting for her life after suffering severe injuries during the assault, which occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on May 16 near the waste treatment plant at 600 East 125th St.
Officers from the 25th Precinct located the woman, who was found unconscious and unresponsive near a bike path with severe injuries about her head and face. EMS rushed her to Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, where she remains in critical condition.
Cops report that the woman was left so badly hurt that she has been unable to tell detectives what occurred that night.
On Tuesday, the NYPD released an image of the victim in the hope that someone would come forward with more information.
