Dev Patel (“Slumdog Millionaire,” the two “Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” films, HBO’s “The Newsroom”) is the heart of “Lion,” a true story about a boy lost in Calcutta and adopted by an Australian couple (Nicole Kidman and David Wenham) who returns to India 25 years later to find his birth family.
Patel appears in conversation with filmmaker and Columbia University professor Annette Insdorf in conjunction with a screening of “Lion.”
