Making a cameo appearance in a new music video by The Beastie Boys, a Bigfoot came tearing around the corner of Canal and Greenwich Sts. last Wednesday afternoon and into an empty lot where the band was rapping the lyrics to “Triple Double,” a song off their new hip-hop album, “To the 5 Boroughs.” The sasquatch was actually a 7-ft.-tall basketball player — there was another 6-ft.-11-in.-tall hoops player standing by just in case the other one got too hot in the costume. Also appearing in the video was Spike Jonze, who has directed some of the band’s past videos, who was wearing an orange wig and red lederhosen. As for the lot, plans are to develop it as a residential building.
