Death of Manhattan woman who was found in the Bronx ruled a homicide

The NYPD has identified a Manhattan woman who was found dead in the Bronx last week.

According to police, at 8:30 a.m. on April 20, the NYPD responded to a call regarding an unconscious woman on Park Avenue near E 182nd Street. Upon their arrival, officers found 38-year-old Becky Crown, of West 94th Street, at the scene, unconscious and unresponsive.

Sources familiar with the investigation stated that Crown was found with signs of bruising around her neck and chest. EMS responded to the location and declared Crown dead at the scene.

Crown’s death has officially been ruled a homicide. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
