Police are searching for the man who violently attacked a woman with a baseball bat on Feb.8 in Chelsea.
According to the investigation, the 25-year-old woman was walking near 229 7th Ave. at around 10 p.m, when the suspect hit her in the head with the bat — causing severe lacerations and bruising.
Paramedics rushed the woman to Lenox Hill Hospital in stable condition, where she began her recovery, according to police.
The suspect, meanwhile, fled the location, and no arrests have yet been made.
Cops described the man as having a dark skin complexion and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray pants, a blue knit hat, and gray sneakers.
So far this year there have been 13 assaults in the 13th Police Precinct, where the bat attack occurred.
Citywide, cops have investigated 3,372 assaults on the streets of the five boroughs — marking a slight uptick from the 3,347 assaults during the same timeframe last year, according to NYPD statistics.
