After days of searching for the suspect, police arrested a man in connection with a deadly shooting in Harlem on Nov. 15.
NYPD officers cuffed Justin Deprospo on Monday night, and charged him with first-degree murder for allegedly killing the 32-year-old victim in cold blood.
According to the investigation, Deprospo fired off multiple rounds near 217 W. 116th St, leaving Burnie Pleasant lying on the sidewalk with several gunshot wounds throughout his body at around 9 p.m.
Paramedics rushed the bloodied victim to Mount Sinai Morningside hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
The suspect had fled the scene before police arrived, and managed to elude authorities for nearly two weeks after the shooting.
Late Monday night, however, NYPD officers tracked down Deprospo and took him into custody. Cops did not release a suspected motive in the shooting.
So far this year, the NYPD has recorded 1,028 gunshot victims on the streets of the five boroughs, including 10 victims in the 28th Police Precinct, where Pleasant was killed.
