Armand Membou Jets NFL Draft
Armand Membou, OT, Missouri was selected 7th overall by the New York Jets during the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft at Lambeau Field on April 24, 2025 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

It has not been a kind football season for New York fans with the New York Giants and the New York Jets combining for four wins in 21 NFL gridiron clashes so far in 2025. While the results for both teams have been lackluster, there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon as the Giants and Jets appear set to receive high draft picks at the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania this summer.

Giants compete with Titans for top odds at 2026 NFL Draft

While Jameis Winston and the Giants nearly pulled off the upset on Sunday afternoon over the Green Bay Packers, another loss in the record books has provided better odds for Big Blue in the race for the top selection this summer.  New York still has two more contests before they reach the bye week, a Week 14 rest period which is the latest in the NFL landscape this season. The Las Vegas Raiders host the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football in Week 11, so a loss for Vegas would vault them into a third-place tie looking ahead to the 2026 NFL Draft.

Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans almost stunned the Houston Texans, but the road squad walked off the field following a game-winning field goal as the time drained off the clock in Nashville, Tennessee. The Titans have had the hardest schedule in the NFL to date, and it only gets slightly easier as the NFL speeds towards a close.

NFL Team Record
Tennessee Titans (1-9) 1-9
New York Giants (2-9) 2-9
Cleveland Browns (2-8) 2-8
New York Jets (2-8) 2-8
New Orleans Saints (2-8) 2-8
Las Vegas Raiders (2-7) 2-7

According to Tankathon.com, the one-win Titans have the best odds of finishing with the worst record in football heading into Week 12. The Giants are listed second due to the extra loss on their schedule over the teams behind them who have already enjoyed their NFL-scheduled vacation week. The Jets,  Cleveland Browns, and New Orleans Saints finish out the top five. New Orleans was the only team of the bottom five to win in Week 11.

Jets holding two picks in 2026

While the Jets will be far more interested in where their own selection ends up in the NFL Draft lottery selection process, New York should also have a pick in the 20+ range after the Sauce Gardner trade to the Indianapolis Colts returned Indy’s first-round choice in 2026 (and 2027) to New York in exchange for the All-Pro cornerback. Where that pick actually falls will be dependent upon how the Colts do in the 2025 NFL postseason. Currently, Indianapolis are among the best teams in the NFL with an 8-2 record on the 2025 campaign.

While the Jets will need to wait a calendar year to receive the first-rounder from the Quinnen Williams trade, New York will have the Dallas Cowboys second-round pick in their back pocket this summer. After trading Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers before the start of the 2025 campaign, Dallas has sputtered to a 3-5-1 record this season. The current positioning would provide the Jets with a top-50 choice this summer.

The player selected first overall will ultimately be dependent upon which team ends up with the first selection and what their team needs are at the 2026 NFL Draft.
