The New York Jets have played on Thanksgiving day before but the 2023-24 NFL regular season will offer a brand new challenge to the organization.

The NFL announced Wednesday morning that the Jets will host the Miami Dolphins at MetLife Stadium during the first-ever Black Friday game in Week 12. Kick-off is expected to be at 3:00 p.m.

Miami and New York split the season series last year with the Jets winning at home back in Week 5 by a 40-17 drubbing. The Dolphins returned the favor in the last week of the season with an 11-6 win that sent them to the postseason. Both teams have had success against the other in prime-time showings with games like Monday Night Miracle in 2000, or Chad Pennington’s revenge game in 2008.

This year’s matchup is expected to have plenty of hype with Aaron Rodgers now the starting quarterback for Gang Green, and Jalen Ramsey now in Miami following a trade with the Los Angeles Rams.

The full schedule is expected to be released on Thursday at 8:00 pm – ET.
