Lady luck couldn’t lift the Knicks to a win last night.
The Knicks, who finished with the second-worst record during the 2014-15 season, will pick fourth in the June 25 draft as determined by last night’s 2015 NBA Draft Lottery at New York Hilton Midtown.
This will be the Knicks’ first top-five selection since picking Kenny Walker No. 5 overall in the 1986 NBA Draft.
The Timberwolves secured the top pick in the draft. They had a 25% chance of earning the No. 1 slot. The Lakers will draft second, followed by the 76ers, as determined by the lottery. The remaining teams who were eligible for the draft lottery will pick in order of their record, from worst to best.
Big men Karl-Anthony Towns of Kentucky and Duke’s Jahlil Okafor are favorites to go first overall, along with guards D’Angelo Russell of Ohio State and Emmanuel Mudiay, who played last season in China.
