A 54-year-old man was stabbed to death in his apartment on Ocean Avenue in Midwood, Brooklyn this morning, in what police now believe was a domestic dispute.

The victim, identified as Ramon Marrero, was allegedly stabbed by Norberto Lozada, 44, of the same address, according to police officials.

The victim was stabbed at about 10:19 a.m. on Sunday morning, Nov. 3 in apartment 1D on Ocean Avenue near Avenue H.

Police say that when 70th Precinct units arrived, they found the victim unconscious and unresponsive. He was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from multiple stab wounds to his torso.

The superintendent of the building, who identified himself only as “Clyde,” said he was in the basement when the incident occurred. He said the victim lived in the apartment with his elderly mother. Clyde said he could say who was in the apartment when the homicide occurred.

“He was really no trouble, I’ve never heard anything going on in there,” said Clyde as he stood outside the building. “I really don’t know why anyone would do that to him.”

Police were still at the apartment late in the afternoon, guarding the crime scene for further investigation The door was left wide open with yellow tape across it, and an officer kept watch nearby.

It was unclear at press time what was the relationship between the two men, but it appears they were sharing the apartment. Lozada was being charged with murder in the second degree.
