Ireland Baldwin: ‘I did not stand up’ for dad Alec Baldwin

Ireland Baldwin may not be as much of a daddy’s girl as we thought.

The 18-year-old once called a “little pig” by father Alec Baldwin is heatedly clarifying some comments she made over the weekend that showed support for Alec after he reportedly hurled a homophobic slur at a paparazzo.

“I did not STAND UP for my father. It is never right to treat people the way that he has,” Ireland wrote via Instagram this week. “I simply wanted to show my support for my family. No matter what, my dad is my dad.”

Over the weekend, Ireland tweeted 15 messages following the suspension of the 55-year-old actor’s MSNBC talk show.

One tweet read: “For someone who has battled with anger management issues, my dad has grown tremendously.”
