Starring Jay Baruchel, Kurt Russell, Matt Dillon and Katheryn Winnick. ‘Better Living Through Chemistry’ March 14 An affair sets a by-the-books pharmacist on a path of drugs, sex and more. Starring Sam Rockwell, Olivia Wilde, Michelle Monaghan and Ray Liotta. ‘The Cold Lands’ March 14 An 11-year-old boy is on the run in the Catskills after his mother dies. He forms a bond with a drifter. ‘Ernest & Celestine’ March 14 This French animated film, which was up for an Oscar this year, follows the friendship between a bear and a mouse. This version features an English voice track starring Forest Whitaker. Looks charming in a very French way. ‘Le Week-End’ March 14 A couple returns to Paris to rekindle their marriage. Starring Jim Broadbent, Lindsay Duncan and Jeff Goldblum. Directed by “Notting Hill’s” Roger Michell. ‘On My Way’ March 14 An aging beauty queen (Catherine Deneuve) struggling with her life takes a road trip with her grandson. In French with subtitles. ‘The Right Kind of Wrong’ March 14 A dishwasher dealing with a terrible, embarrassing breakup falls in love with a bride (that he doesn’t know) on the day of her wedding. Starring Ryan Kwanten, Catherine O’Hara and Sara Canning. ‘Shirin in Love’ March 14 An engaged Iranian woman living in Los Angeles finds love with another man in this rom-com. Starring Nazanin Boniadi, Riley Smith and Maz Jobrani. ‘Teenage’ March 14 This unique-looking documentary explores the rise of the teenager, which it posits didn’t always exist. ‘Tyler Perry’s The Single Moms Club’ March 14 A group of single mothers bond in this comedy. And no, none of them are played by Tyler Perry, though he does act in the film. ‘U Want Me 2 Kill Him?’ March 14 Based on a true story, this film follows a popular teen who helps out the brother of an Internet friend, which then takes him down a dark path. ’50 to 1’ March 21 This sports biopic about 2009 Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird follows the surprising path the horse and its trainers took to landing their trophy in horse racing’s biggest event. ‘A Birder’s Guide to Everything’ March 21 A coming-of-age story about four teen birders who believe they’ve discovered a live specimen of a duck thought to be extinct. Starring Kodi Smit-McPhee, Ben Kingsley and James Le Gros. ‘Anita’ March 21 This documentary looks at Anita Hill, who testified that when she had been working with then-U.S. Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas, she was sexually harrassed. ‘Blood Ties’ March 21 This crime story features a pair of brothers, one a cop, one a criminal, in rough 1970s Brooklyn. Starring Clive Owen, Billy Crudup, Zoe Saldana, Mila Kunis, Marion Cotillard and James Caan. ‘Jodorowsky’s Dune’ March 21 Director Alejandro Jodorowsky had intended to adapt Frank Herbert’s “Dune,” but failed. This documentary captures his incredible story. ‘McCanick’ March 21 One of the last movies with Cory Monteith, this crime thriller features a narcotics detective on the trail of a criminal who knows too much. Also starring David Morse, and Rachel Nichols. ‘Breathe In’ March 28 “Like Crazy” writer/director Drake Doremus reunites with star Felicity Jones for this romance about a foreign exchange student in upstate New York who makes a lasting effect on her host family. Also starring Guy Pearce. ‘Cesar Chavez’ March 28 Michael Peña stars in the title role of this biopic about the civil rights activist and labor leader. Also starring John Malkovich, America Ferrera and Rosario Dawson. ‘Mistaken for Strangers’ March 28 Follow Brooklyn band The National in this documentary made by Tom Berninger, the younger brother of the band’s lead singer Matt. ‘The Raid 2’ March 28 Writer/director Gareth Evans returns with a sequel to his violent action film set in Jakarta.
