A Bronx man was shot to death just a few steps away from his home on Friday night, police reported.
Devon McFarlane, 24, took a bullet to his back at the corner of East Burnside and Morris Avenues at about 11:37 p.m. on Dec. 27, authorities said.
Officers from the 46th Precinct responded to a 911 call at the location about shots fired found McFarlane unconscious and unresponsive. Paramedics rushed him to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to News 12 Bronx, police believe McFarlane — who lived on Morris Avenue, less than a block from where he was killed — got into a dispute with an unidentified man moments before he was shot.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
