Firefighters found a dead man inside of a Bronx home that caught fire on Monday morning.

Flames broke out on the upper floor of the two story, residential building at 1837 Burke Ave. in Baychester at around 11:15 a.m. on Dec. 16, according to the FDNY.

The Fire Department sent 12 units and 60 fire and EMS personnel to douse the flames in the all hands fire before finding the man’s body inside a second floor bedroom.

Police have withheld the man’s identity, pending family notification.

Believed to be the only one in the house at the time, FDNY sources say, the man’s death does not appear to be fire related. His body was brought to the Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling the blaze, the FDNY reported.

Fire marshals are now investigating what started the fire.
