Police search for man wanted for Bronx woman’s death

Police are now looking for a male suspect responsible for a woman’s in The Bronx’s Belmont neighborhood.

Officers in the 48th Precinct discovered 40-year-old Luz Perez in her Bronx home at 519 E. 187th Street with “apparent trauma about the head and body” back on Oct. 13th—and after months of investigation, the NYPD has declared her death to be a homicide Monday, according to the department.

The NYPD recently released images of a person of interest in Perez’s death, describing the man as “approximately six feet tall, wearing a black du-rag and dark green waist-length jacket with multiple patches.”
