Thanksgiving Day in the Bronx saw two separate shootings that left a pair of men dead, police reported.
Law enforcement sources said the first homicide happened in Charlotte Gardens at about 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 24, at an apartment building located at 1710 Hoe Ave.
Officers from the 42nd Precinct, in responding to a 911 call for a man in need of assistance, found Michael Roberts, 33, unconscious and unresponsive at the location with a bullet wound to his torso.
Police said Roberts lived about three blocks away from where he was found wounded.
EMS rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Roughly 10 hours later, authorities said, police responded to a second deadly shooting in the area of Bronxwood Avenue and East 233rd Street in Wakefield.
Officers from the 47th Precinct responded to a 911 call about shots fired and found Elijah Dukuray, 23, of East 143rd Street with a gunshot wound to his neck.
EMS rushed Dukuray with Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigations in both cases, police said.
