A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to a fatal stabbing in Brooklyn late last month.

Cops cuffed Deshawn James of East New York nearly a month after the killing, which took place at around 3:45 a.m. on Dec. 26 in East New York.

Early that fateful day, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress near the corner of Rockaway Avenue and Livonia Avenue. Upon arrival, cops discovered 54-year-old James Ballard unconscious and unresponsive with stab wounds to the neck and back.

The victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

James is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
