Cops are looking for a suspect who robbed two people in two days in Chelsea.
It was reported to police that the suspect first approached a 24-year-old woman at 9:20 p.m. on April 2 as she was walking in front of 222 West 15th Street. The suspect asked the victim for money, and she said she didn’t have any, the suspect stated “If you don’t have any money then I’m going to cut your face.”
The victim handed over $61 and the suspect then fled the scene on foot eastbound on West 16th Street towards 7th Avenue. There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
The suspect struck again the next day at 11:30 a.m. At this time, the crook approached a 42-year-old man, who was riding a bike inside a park near 305 West 16th Street. The suspect told the victim to empty his pockets, and the victim attempted to flee on his bike.
The suspect slashed the back of the victim’s jacket with a knife before fleeing to parts unknown empty-handed. The victim’s jacket was cut open and he sustained a scratch to his skin.
