Bernie Sanders’ NYC rallies: Prospect Park, Hunter’s Point South Park, Washington Square Park

Sen. Bernie Sanders has added two more rallies in New York City ahead of the April 19 primary.

In a final push before the primary, the Vermont senator will host a rally on Sunday, April 17 in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park and another on Monday, April 18 at Hunter’s Point South Park in Long Island City, Queens.

The rally at Prospect Park begins around 3 p.m. and will include special guests Danny DeVito, Justin Long, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii), and musical act Grizzly Bear.

The Hunter’s Point South Park rally, which starts at 7 p.m., will also feature special guests, including Danny Glover, Fisher Stevens, and musical act TV on the Radio.

Both events are free and open to the public. Anyone interested in attending is urged to RSVP, but according to Sanders’ website, entry is first come, first serve.

Sanders, who grew up in Brooklyn, also held a rally in Washington Square Park on Wednesday. The event drew 27,000 people, according to Sanders’ campaign, and featured appearances by Vampire Weekend, Spike Lee, Rosario Dawson, and Shailene Woodley.
